Aasgaard set for Anderlecht loan as Rangers reject Raskin bid

Rangers are edging towards an exit for Thelo Aasgaard. As BBC Sport reports, the Ibrox club have accepted an offer that would take the Norway international to Anderlecht on loan, with the player set to travel to Brussels for a medical.

Aasgaard, signed from Luton in 2025, has scored once in five appearances this season. It’s still unclear whether Anderlecht will have the possibility to make the move permanent or whether the deal will be strictly a temporary one, but Rangers do retain a long leash: his contract runs until 2029.

Besiktas knocked back for Raskin

The same report says Rangers also rejected a loan bid from Beşiktaş for Nicolas Raskin. The Belgium midfielder has drawn transfer attention after impressing around the World Cup, and he has been linked with a move away from Glasgow.

Raskin missed Rangers’ previous two matches amid the speculation, and the manager Derek McInnes played down the situation. Quoted by BBC Sport, he said that “Nico has been good as gold” during that time and that until an offer arrives the club need to consider, the expectation is for him to “knuckle down and train”. McInnes added that if the window closes with Raskin still a Rangers player, he’ll “give brilliant service” as he has before.
