Ali Houary renews with Elche until June 2030 as his release clause rises

Elche CF has renewed Ali Houary through June 2030, extending his deal by two years and raising his release clause to over €15m, as reported by MARCA. The agreement was finalized this Thursday.

The winger, a Hispano-Moroccan product of Elche’s youth system, has seen his playing time fluctuate. Last season he spent the second half on loan at Mirandés to gain experience in professional football before returning to the franjiverde squad this summer.

With coach Martín Anselmi, Houary started the first three league matchdays and ended up with nine appearances for the first team. After the transfer window closed, he lost ground in the plans and missed the last three call-ups. Elche president Joaquín Buitrago said: “El equipo no va a tener problemas para ir escalando”.
