Chelsea ended Arsenal’s unbeaten run in the Women’s Super League with a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge, sealed by Alyssa Thompson’s goal. The strike brought an end to the Gunners’ run of 20 games without defeat, with their last loss dating back to October 2025.

Arsenal had chances early on. Kim Little and Mariona Caldentey struck the post twice, but couldn’t turn that pressure into goals. Thompson finally broke the deadlock when she pounced on a rebound in the box after Keira Walsh’s long-range effort was initially kept out by Anneke Borbe.

The visitors pushed harder after the break, with Chloe Kelly’s angled drive blocked and Alessia Russo’s shot charged down. Still, Chelsea held on through the closing stages to claim their third WSL win.
