Antony (Real Betis) beats pubalgia: finished last season on pills

Antony, the Brazilian winger at Real Betis, has shared on a Sofascore podcast that he overcame a pubalgia issue that forced him to play last season while using medication. He said the adductor problem began in December and got so bad that there were matches where, the next day, he “couldn’t even walk”.

The winger admitted it was frustrating because he always wants to give his best, and that being limited required strong mental control. He then contrasted that period with the present: he claims the discomfort has eased enough for him to run a normal pre-season and play without pills, though he says it still bothers him a little.
