Aubameyang and Giménez among Deportivo’s captains

Deportivo’s rotation plan in the match vs Sevilla left captain Ximo Navarro out of the XI, and helped gradually shape who will carry the armband most this season, according to Sport.

Armband leadership order

After the game, the coach stated that the leadership hierarchy places Diego Villares as the top captain, followed by the second-in-line player, a native of Mallorca. Behind them come Germán Parreño and Yeremay, completing the main order of reference.

The coach also included Aubameyang and José María Giménez in the group. Both are recent arrivals, but with an established, veteran presence in the team, as Sport reports.

Who wore it vs Sevilla

In the closing stages of the Sevilla game, the Gabonese striker was the one who wore the armband for the final minutes, after the attacking midfielder from the Canary Islands was substituted on.
