Balogun and Cabral return with Monaco; Golovine still pending

Folarin Balogun returned to full-team training with Monaco last week, as the club highlighted on its social media, bringing clarity to his situation after the summer transfer window.

According to L’Équipe, Balogun will wear AS Monaco’s colours this season at least until January, when the next transfer window opens. The outlet frames it as a pointed message from the Principality club after doubts around his future in late August/early September.

Two key returns

The other name back in the mix is Pape Cabral, who is also training with the squad after recovering from an aborted move to Al-Ahli. L’Équipe notes that Cabral has resumed work with Monaco after the transfer collapsed.

With those two situations addressed, Monaco’s attention now turns to the unresolved part of the picture: Alexandre Golovine. His case remains open, with L’Équipe stating that he is still being tracked by Spartak Moscow and Zenit Saint Petersburg.

So while Balogun and Cabral are already back on the pitch, Golovine’s next step is still to be decided—something Monaco will likely have to manage before January.
