Barcelona vs Florentino Pérez: conciliation set for 25 November

FC Barcelona and Florentino Pérez will attend a conciliation act on 25 November at 09:40 at the Court of First Instance, Rooms 1 and 2 in Madrid, Mundo Deportivo reports. The session is the preliminary step before Barça files a defamation-related lawsuit linked to article 205 of the Spanish Criminal Code.

Barça lodged the conciliation request in June. The club wants Pérez to retract accusations that “they stole seven Leagues” from him; if he doesn’t, Barça says it will proceed with a criminal complaint. Those claims were made by Pérez in mid-May during a press conference and later in an interview.

He stated that “7 Leagues were taken from me” and also said he believes the UEFA will act, adding that “the Barça always benefits.” Barça’s legal team describes the statements as an “infamy” and insists the process will continue if the parties don’t meet the terms during the hearing.
