Bayern cautious on Olise: contract to 2029, but “it’s delicate”

The situation around Michael Olise at Bayern Múnich is generating uncertainty, despite the fact that the French winger is under contract until 2029. As Mundo Deportivo reports, the club doesn’t fully rule out change, making clear that even a long deal doesn’t automatically mean the Bavarians can “put their hands on the fire” about the player staying beyond this season.

Dreesen keeps it vague

Asked last weekend about Olise’s future, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen was not definitive. In comments on Sport1, he said: “In this business, promising something is delicate.” When pressed on whether the club could retain him long-term, he added: “We’ll talk about it again next summer.”

Madrid watched last summer

Mundo Deportivo also recalls that Olise drew attention from Europe’s top sides, with the strongest signal coming from the Real Madrid last summer. His name sounded “strong” for the Spanish club, although Dreesen denied that any concrete move happened: “It’s nonsense to say that this summer we had dozens of proposals on the table. We didn’t have any.”

No formal bid yet

For now, Mundo Deportivo notes that there is no official offer for Olise, not from Real Madrid and not from any other bidder. Still, the article stresses that the market can shift quickly, and Bayern will have to respond if a big club makes a real move.
