Castellón beat Leganés 0-2: Suero and Jakobsen on target

Castellón came out on top at Leganés (0-2) at the Ontime Butarque, turning the match into a clear showcase of collective football. The goals came from Isra Suero and Adam Jakobsen, and Romain Matthys saved a penalty in the 83rd minute. In that incident, Jérémy Mellot received a red card.

Leganés had no answer

Before halftime, Jakobsen added a couple to stretch the lead and Camara created more danger, with the game effectively decided by the break.

After the restart, Suero again helped open the path for Jakobsen to put the 0-2 on the board just two minutes later. Leganés pushed harder after the hour, but Castellón’s offside line limited their chances. With Matthys saving Mellot’s penalty and the red card already dealt with, the three points stayed in Castellón, as Sport reported.
