Celta set for a first €10m capital boost for Celta360

Celta is preparing a €10m capital increase for its Celta360 project, with the amount expandable to €20m. As MARCA reports, the proposal is still pending approval by the AGM of shareholders, and it will initially be offered on a preferential basis to existing shareholders.

The club’s aim is to keep the financing cost contained, limit leverage and protect the project’s and the team’s long-term financial sustainability, while maintaining current ownership control. The plan also allows for a possible entry of a new minority shareholder only if current shareholders do not fully exercise their subscription rights after the preferential window.

Celta360, under construction

Celta360 is currently in its second construction phase. The club expects the new buildings to begin operating by the end of summer 2027, describing the complex as a sports and business hub for Galicia and Northern Portugal.

According to the club, the project is “one of the most strategic” for Celta because it blends sporting development with “new business opportunities”, with the goal of widening growth foundations, strengthening the academy and supporting financial solidity.

AGM and latest figures

The proposal will be debated at the AGM on 20 October at 19:00, a meeting where the club expects, per MARCA, to present a record revenue figure: €106.2m consolidated revenue, up from €73.9m the previous year. The Celta also points to €7.7m losses (after tax) as of 30 June 2026, attributing them to its growth strategy, alongside cash above €12.2m and no bank debt.
