Cherki starts as Bouaddi and Yoro are on the bench
For the Manchester derby in the Premier League, Enzo Maresca starts Rayan Cherki; Ayyoub Bouaddi and Leny Yoro are on the bench, L’Equipe reports.
Enzo Maresca, coach of Manchester City, has gone with Rayan Cherki in the starting XI for this Sunday’s Premier League derby against Manchester United, with the aim of keeping pressure on the top of the table.
The City boss keeps, with one change, the same lineup that beat Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday (2-0). The exception is Ayyoub Bouaddi, who is named among the substitutes. He is replaced by Elliot Anderson, who partners Enzo Fernández in midfield.
Mostly the same XI
In goal, Gianluigi Donnarumma starts, while Phil Foden and Antoine Semenyo take roles out wide and Erling Haaland leads the line in a 4-2-3-1, as L’Equipe details.
Bench decisions for United too
On the Manchester United side, Leny Yoro also starts from the bench for the derby, according to the same report.
L’Equipe adds that England and City are already getting a lot of attention for Bouaddi, described as a “top prospect” that has quickly caught the eye.
