CUP to challenge its ban from travelling to the Vélodrome

The Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP), PSG’s fan group, says it will take legal action to challenge its systematic ban on travelling to the Vélodrome for matches against Marseille (OM). As RMC Sport reports, the ultras claim they have been blocked for eleven years and insist “that’s enough”.

Eleven years, no dialogue

In a statement published on Wednesday, the CUP says it wants to turn to the Conseil d’État “through the legal route”. Their goal is to request an urgent procedure to contest the incoming ministerial ban and ask for the annulment of a prefectoral order dated 28 August 2026.

Ahead of the Sunday Ligue 1 showdown, set for 20:45, RMC Sport adds that the group expects to face the same restriction again for the OM-PSG classic. The outlet also notes that the Vélodrome is not yet sold out for the fixture.

“We’ll use all legal means”

The statement argues that six prefects have come and gone without, in their view, any real dialogue being established, and that repeated bans cannot replace that conversation. The CUP also stresses that it is not asking for “special treatment”, only that the right to travel and the right to support their club be respected.

As the report explains, the Interior Minister can ban travel for supporters if their presence is considered likely to cause serious public order problems. With this move, the CUP is trying to get that restriction reviewed in court ahead of another OM-PSG.
