Dunkerque reaches an agreement with M’Baye Niang after Nzonzi
L’Équipe says Dunkerque and M’Baye Niang have an agreement for a one-year deal plus an option, pending a medical.
Dunkerque, currently in Ligue 2, is already looking for its next move after landing Steven Nzonzi. As reported by L’Équipe, the club has struck an agreement with M’Baye Niang, the former AC Milan forward, as both sides have reached a deal.
Contract terms to be signed
The understanding, according to the outlet, is set around a one-year contract with an option for an extra season. However, the agreement is still oral for the moment: it needs to be put in writing after the player’s medical examination.
From Turkey back to France
Niang is 31 and last season played in Turkey for Genclerbirligi Ankara. He scored 4 goals in 26 league appearances. He left France in 2023 after a campaign with Auxerre.
With this move, Dunkerque is trying to use the still-active French market—especially the free-agent pool—to add attacking firepower before deadlines tighten up.
