Cadiz transfer De la Rosa to Wieczysta Cracovia

Cadiz have confirmed the transfer of José Antonio De la Rosa to Wieczysta Cracovia, a move that lands after the Spanish transfer window closed, even though the Polish deadline remains open until the 9th of September, as reported by MARCA.

Exit after six seasons

The Huelva-born winger, 2004-born, joined the yellow academy in 2020 and rose through every youth level before making it into the first team. Across his time at Cadiz, he played 58 official matches, including 33 starts, scoring three goals and providing three assists. MARCA also notes that he made his top-flight debut with Cadiz before heading to Poland.

Deal details

De la Rosa has signed for two years plus one optional year in the Polish league. The agreement is expected to bring around €700,000 to Cadiz, according to MARCA.

The denial before the move

The departure comes after Cadiz publicly rejected the idea of a “De la Rosa case”. The club denied on social media a report from Ángel García, who had suggested talks to renew had cooled and that an exit could be on the table. With De la Rosa now leaving, MARCA says this places Cadiz’s communications in a difficult position during an already tense summer.
