Eric García returns to Barça: knee check after left-knee discomfort

Eric García, from FC Barcelona, went to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper this Monday for a medical check due to discomfort in his left knee. The club did not issue a medical report, and his absence is explained by caution: the defender was in Luis de la Fuente’s starting XI against England, but he left Spain’s training camp on Sunday.

As Mundo Deportivo reports, the club’s medical staff approved tests already sent by the RFEF, and the assessment pointed to precaution as the best option. The discomfort appears to stem from a knock he suffered during the warm-up for England-Spain (1-2).

Barça will not resume training until next Monday, October 5. The first match after the international break is Barça-Getafe on Saturday, October 10 (18:30).
