Félix Correia targets 10 goal involvements for Sevilla

Félix Correia is doing his sums at Sevilla. The Portuguese winger, one of the team’s debutants this season, has started in the last three LaLiga matches and in their most recent defeat against Barcelona he helped the Andalusians open the scoring with an assist for Fofana. As MARCA reports, he says he feels at ease in high-pressure games and believes this is the right moment to consolidate.

His target: 10 contributions

The winger has set a clear goal for the campaign: reach at least 10 direct goal involvements in LaLiga, combining goals and assists. MARCA points out that his first assist against Barcelona is the starting point of that personal challenge, after his performances improved from the matchday of his debut versus Valencia.

Fit with Luis García Plaza

Correia is convinced Sevilla’s style suits his strengths. According to MARCA, Luis García Plaza asks him to be direct, vertical and pragmatic when attacking, while in defence he must offer commitment and help the team. The player compares the demand to what he already experienced last season during his spell at Lille.

The aim at Sevilla is also to feel more settled, and the Portuguese thinks his contribution can help. Beyond his numbers in LaLiga, he wants to be back on Portugal’s radar after being pre-called during his time at Lille—hoping the Spanish league will be a good showcase.
