Ibai Gómez fires up Real Zaragoza: four straight wins under him

Ibai Gómez, coach of Real Zaragoza, has delivered what is described as the best start of his managerial career: the side has won four straight matches after an opening-day defeat in Tarragona. After Friday’s game in Ibiza, the coach said in his press conference: “Lo llevo diciendo desde que llegué: mi objetivo principal era intentar ilusionar a la gente lo antes posible porque son ellos los que nos van a hacer lograr el objetivo.”

Zaragoza arrived at Ibiza with 12 points from 15 and a clear approach built on intensity, sacrifice and a style based on keeping the ball and moving forward. He also stresses keeping close contact with the fans after every match to rebuild the bond.
