As the outlet explains, the young left-sided midfielder had been relied on from the start. He started the first six matches of the season across all competitions under Filipe Luis. But after a stretch of consecutive appearances, the 21-year-old started feeling the issue and now his availability for the clash with the RCL is not guaranteed.
The trip to Strasbourg also left its mark elsewhere. L’Équipe notes that Monaco came back from Alsace with a 1-1 draw, while Anis Soubeir suffered an ankle sprain.
