Ismael Gharbi saves Leganés with a 3-2 win over Granada

Leganés took home a wild match against Granada, who fought back despite finding themselves on the back foot. The hosts started fast: Naim García put them ahead with a long-range strike in the 4th minute, and just after the 8th minute the second goal arrived as Soko finished off the move to make it 2-0.

Goal, response and draw

After that 2-0, Leganés didn’t manage the game well and the match turned into an uphill battle. Granada responded with José Arnaiz, whose shot turned into a scramble in the area. The visiting pressure ended in an own goal credited to Ignasi Miquel, cutting the deficit to 2-1 (16’).

The 2-2 came on the hour mark: in the 52nd minute, Marques leveled with 2-2, and by then the pattern of play made the equalizer feel coming. Granada also threatened before that, including Arnaiz striking the woodwork.

3-2 lands at 90’

Both sides pushed for the win. Granada even had a goal ruled out, with the offside/decision affecting a strike by Gambín at the 82nd minute. Still, the ending belonged to Leganés: Ismael Gharbi produced a late moment of quality and luck to score the winner for 3-2 in the 90th minute.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the drawless run continues for Granada (three games without a win, with two losses and one draw), while Leganés returned to winning after two matchdays without it, having also lost their previous game last week to Tenerife.
