Jauregizar takes his new Athletic role in stride

As Mundo Deportivo reports, the midfielder played his second match as a starter against Alavés last Saturday since Terzic’s arrival, having moved from being one of Valverde’s “untouchables” to a more rotating, hard-working option under the new coach.

In his own words, Mikel Jauregizar says he’s taking the change “with total calm,” working day to day to give his best. He also points out that the good level among teammates shows that “there is competition,” framing the current situation as positive rather than worrying.

Jauregizar also explains what the team needs when matches get stuck. He admits that these games are tougher when opponents sit deep, and that in those scenarios the decisive ingredient is “finding the final pass.” From there, he insists the group has “full confidence” that it will find the way to solve these kinds of encounters.
