Jorge Cestero banned until further notice by Real Madrid Castilla

Jorge Cestero, of Real Madrid Castilla, has been banned until further notice after a disagreement with Julián López de Lerma, the side’s coach. Marca links the issue to Cestero’s bench role in the match against Sant Andreu.

In a press conference, López de Lerma explained the situation: “We’re in a training-focused phase, we want all players to be able to show themselves, compete and be with the team. Jorge is and will be a very important player for us this season.” For now, the punishment keeps him out of Castilla’s squad for the clash with Alcorcón.

Castilla also face Atlético Madrileño on Friday at the Di Stéfano, and it remains to be seen whether Cestero is available by then.
