LaLiga files five chants complaints from Atletico-Real Madrid derby

LaLiga has this Tuesday relayed several reports stemming from last weekend’s LaLiga matchday, and one of them concerns Sunday’s derby at the Estadio Metropolitano between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.

Five chants, same area

The chants were heard from the same part of the stadium: the lower seating of the south goal stand’s animation area, specifically sections 127-133. In total, the complaint counts five separate incidents, each tied to minute markers during the game.

What happened and when

According to Mundo Deportivo, the first chant came at 15 minutes with “Madridistas, hijos de puta”, and it was repeated at 31 minutes. At 35 minutes, the report says a different message was used: “Puta Real Madrid, Puta Real Madrid”.

The most serious moment, according to the same outlet, arrived at 78 minutes, with a chant aimed at Thibaut Courtois lasting around 15 seconds: “que lo vengan a ver, que lo vengan a ver, esto no es un portero, es una puta de cabaret”.

Finally, at 82 minutes the last incident repeated “madridistas, hijos de puta”, for about eight seconds.

With these reports now submitted, the case will move through LaLiga’s disciplinary process.
