Leganés vs Castellón: Albés adapts after Brignani and Vlak absences

The CD Castellón travels to Ontime Butarque (20.30) tonight to test its unbeaten run away from home against a Leganés side that hasn’t dropped a single point at home in Segunda. The visitors arrive fresh off a 5-0 victory over Tenerife, with Rubén Albés adding pressure: «the Castellón is the best team in Segunda».

The coach, though, will have to reshuffle. Fabrizio Brignani is out injured, and Jari Vlak is also unavailable, while Amir Saipi, Rodrigo Rêgo and Matías Orozco are away with their national teams. With the Colombian missing, the starting XI that crushed Tenerife won’t be repeated; Álvaro Martín is set to return in midfield and Pablo Santiago is gaining momentum.

Butarque has been a fortress. Leganés have won both home games—1-0 vs Eldense and 3-2 vs Granada—with late goals, and they back it with spending power: 20.77 million on their squad versus Castellón’s 15.43 million (sixth in the league). Up front, Albés is expected to start Álvaro Morata, after illness kept him out of the XI against Granada, alongside Soko. Leganés are without Rubén Peña, Álvaro Tejero, Enric Franquesa and Amadou Diawara, while Ismael Gharbi is with Tunisia.
