Luisao rescinds with Fabril and returns to Pontevedra

Luisao has returned to Pontevedra after rescinding with Fabril on the last day of the transfer window, one of the standout late moves involving the reserve team. As Sport reports, head coach Manuel Pablo admitted it was “a last-minute situation”, saying they were “stuck” with the registration rules and due to “contractual matters, player-related situations”. He added that “the kid” had been left “affected” and that what worried them most was “the player”.

From late exit to new deal

The 2004-born defender, still under-23, went in a matter of hours from being a starter—after getting Manuel Pablo’s green light to look at the free-agent market—to eventually finding a way out. Luisao has now signed for Pontevedra, a club where he was already on loan last season in Primera RFEF. He is expected to be a rotational option with weight in Pasarón’s plans, helping round off the project at Pasarón.

Fabril’s busy summer departures

Luisao’s case wasn’t the only late change at Fabril. In the final moments of the window, the club also moved on from Pablo Cortés, Héctor Areosa and Lucas Castro, who headed to Numancia, Extremadura and Arosa respectively. Earlier departures included Faziz Aye, Malick Ndiaye, Mario Nájera, Hugo Torres and Pablo Parada (to Murcia B, Barbastro, Lugo, Arosa and Boiro), while Papa Samsou left after half a season. Meanwhile, central defender Hatim Aoufir didn’t pass a trial this summer.

For incoming business, Sport notes that Fabril signed Justino Barbosa, Koke San José, Manu Serrano, Ferran Seco and Yayo González over the summer. With Luisao now set for Pontevedra, the player’s next chapter is decided after that late-window twist.
