Man City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak insists on innocence over 115 charges
After Friday reports about the tribunal’s findings, the City chairman says the case moves into the appeal stage.
Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has reacted to reports surrounding the club’s 115 charges in the Premier League. Friday’s reporting suggested an independent tribunal reached decisions and that “virtually all” of the charges related to breaking Financial Fair Play rules were found to be proven, while City deny any wrongdoing.
In a statement released on Saturday afternoon, Al Mubarak reiterated that he remains convinced of the club’s position, saying: “our confidence and intent in proving the club's innocence is just as strong as when this began.” He also told supporters that the process “still has a long way to run”, with the procedure moving to the appeal stage, as Sky Sports reports.
