Mayssa Baha, Barça’s youngest “9”: Pajor says she can be world class

Mayssa Baha (15 years old) made FC Barcelona history by becoming the club’s youngest ever goalscorer, ahead of names such as Lamine Yamal, Vicky López, Ansu Fati or Bojan, after scoring against Logroño United. The goal brought her into the media spotlight, though the coaching staff and teammates had already recognized her qualities.

In a press conference ahead of the Barça debut in the Champions League last week, Ewa Pajor said: “I believe she could be the best 9 in the world. But she’s very young and, for me, she has to work. ” The Polish forward added that she sees something special and that she wants to help her get better.

Mayssa also shared her feelings after scoring: “I’m very happy and very proud to be able to start today and to score my first goal,” thanking the staff, her current and youth teammates, and her family, “who is always with me and my brother.”
