Miguel de la Fuente sinks Mallorca: 0-1 at Son Moix

Almería beat Mallorca 0-1 at Son Moix thanks to Miguel de la Fuente, who scored after a mistake by keeper Arnau Tenas. The goal came before half-time and handed the hosts their first home defeat of the season.

As Mundo Deportivo reports, Mallorca started brighter with the first chances, while Almería settled into a low block to hit on the break. Before the opener, Miguel de la Fuente capitalised on a loose ball after Adrián Embarba fired from distance and Tenas couldn’t hold it, with a little over half an hour on the clock.

One blow, then momentum

After the break, the away side defended with control and stepped up their counterattacks. Mallorca were also hit by injuries: Antoniu Roca went down in the first half, and Manu Morlanes was taken out by a left-ankle problem before the interval. Late on, VAR overturned a red-card decision for Raíllo linked to a hard challenge on Miguel de la Fuente, and Almería saw out the win to make it four straight.

The game, part of matchday 7 in LaLiga Hypermotion, was played in front of 16,035 fans and leaves Almería third with 15 points.
