Miguelete joins Logroñés on loan from Sabadell

Miguelete has ended his spell at CE Sabadell to move on loan to Logroñés. As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the deal was finalised in the closing moments of the transfer window, although Sabadell only made it official this morning. The goal is straightforward: the winger is looking for minutes and a bigger role after not getting enough playing time at the start of the season.

A move to get minutes

The 25-year-old, born in Jerez de la Frontera, arrived at the club in summer 2024 after developing in the youth ranks of FC Barcelona and Real Betis. In his first campaign with the Arlequinados, in Segunda Federación, he was a key player, contributing 11 goals and standing out as one of the team’s main attacking threats.

His impact mattered most in the promotion run too. Mundo Deportivo notes that, beyond his league tally, he scored a decisive goal in the playoff against UCAM Murcia: in the first leg of the final, he made it 2-0, with the match ending 2-1. That strike proved pivotal on the way to promotion and turned him into a fan favourite.

Less time on the pitch

Last season, in Primera Federación, his involvement dropped. With fewer minutes and less of a starring role, he finished the campaign with four goals. Ahead of this term, the plan looked positive: Mundo Deportivo explains that last July he agreed to renew with Sabadell until 2028. But the jump in level and competition within the squad have limited his chances.

Even though he impressed in pre-season by scoring three goals, in the league he still had no minutes. As Mundo Deportivo adds, across three league games he had not played at all. With the loan to Logroñés now confirmed, he’ll be chasing regular action and form again.
