Mohamed Bayo leaves Lille for Samsunspor deal
Mohamed Bayo exits LOSC to join Samsunspor: €1.5m transfer, with Lille keeping a 25% sell-on clause.
Mohamed Bayo’s time at LOSC is over. As L'Équipe reports, the striker left the club this Saturday to sign for Samsunspor, completing a move that LOSC president Olivier Létang said earlier in the week was close to being confirmed.
Fee and sell-on clause
Bayo arrived at LOSC in the summer of 2022 from Clermont for €14m. Now he departs with one year remaining on his contract, and the transfer to the Turkish side is set at €1.5m, according to L'Équipe.
The deal also protects Lille’s interests: LOSC retains 25% in case of a future resale, the French outlet adds.
A mixed spell in the North
With LOSC, the Guinea international scored 7 goals in 47 appearances and never fully settled. Early during his stay he faced disciplinary issues, and his development shifted through loan spells.
- At Le Havre: 23 matches and 5 goals (2023-2024).
- At Royal Antwerp: 17 matches and 1 goal (2024-2025).
- At Gaziantep FK: 32 matches and 15 goals (2025-2026).
Next stop for Bayo is the Turkish league with Samsunspor, while Lille closes the chapter on an operation already described as advanced by L'Équipe.
