Neto Murara close to Juventus move after terminating deal
The former Barça keeper landed in Turin and is expected to sign with the Bianconeri until season’s end after Grabara’s long-term injury.
Neto Murara is one step away from joining Juventus as their new goalkeeper. As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the 37-year-old—who was with Barça from 2019 to 2022—arrived in Turin this Sunday after terminating his contract with Botafogo.
The move follows a long-term blow for the club: Kamil Grabara suffered a rupture of the right knee’s anterior cruciate ligament and is practically out for the remainder of the campaign.
Neto already knows the club well. He played for Juventus from 2015 to 2017, winning two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies and one Supercoppa Italiana, before moving to Valencia. At Juventus, he will now fight for minutes with Guglielmo Vicario, the team’s starter and an Italy international.
After the medical check, a signing in the coming hours is expected, with a deal running through the end of the season. Next week, he could already train under Luciano Spalletti.
