Nice starts Witsel and Ngoumou vs Paris FC

After drawing 0-0 with Lorient on the opening weekend, Nice head to Paris FC this Sunday aiming to grab their first win of the Ligue 1 season, as reported by L’Équipe.

Witsel gets the start

Olivier Pantaloni has gone with several new additions. The standout is Axel Witsel, who is set to play his first minutes for the club. The Belgian, 37, was brought in to cover the injury to Laurent Abergel and wasn’t even in the matchday squad for the first game against Lorient.

Ngoumou makes it two

Nathan Ngoumou also earns his first start. The Cameroon winger, signed this summer from Borussia Mönchengladbach, had already made an impact off the bench by coming on in the 81st minute versus Lorient.

There’s also a welcome return for Mohamed Abdelmonem. The Egyptian defender is back in the starting XI after missing matches following a cruciate ligament rupture in April 2025.

Meanwhile, Elye Wahi begins the game from the bench at Jean-Bouin, with L’Équipe noting he’ll have to wait for his moment in the match.
