Nuno Mendes returns to PSG squad for Slovan clash

PSG kick off their Champions League campaign against Slovan Bratislava with a boost for the squad: Nuno Mendes is back available.

As reported by L'Équipe, the Portuguese left-back returns after serving a suspension that kept him out of the first three Ligue 1 matches. Mendes was sent off for a foul on Lens defender Michal Skoras during the Trophée des champions (0-1) on August 16, and since then he has not played in the league.

This reintroduction matters ahead of the Wednesday 21:00 game at the Parc des Princes, where PSG will look to regain balance on the left side after starting the season without him in league action.

Longoni out, Mouak called up

There is also a loss in goalkeeping: third-choice keeper Alessandro Longoni is absent. The club’s medical update, cited by L'Équipe, says Longoni is still receiving treatment for left quadriceps discomfort picked up during the match with the reserves/youths the previous Wednesday.

PSG have instead called up Adam Mouak (17) to be available for selection as the third option.
