OM squad vs Paris FC: Paixao and Meïté in, Kondogbia and Nnadi out

OM have released the squad for Sunday’s Ligue 1 match against Paris FC, closing out the third matchday. Head coach Bruno Genesio will have to reshape his plans after two injury absences: Geoffrey Kondogbia (thigh) and Tochukwu Nnadi (right knee) are ruled out.

Two injury misses

Both players were hurt in last Sunday’s 0-2 loss to AS Monaco. As reported by the club and covered by L’Équipe, Kondogbia and Nnadi are set to miss the game.

There is also a clear return to the picture for Bamo Meïté. The midfielder—after a season-long loan at Lorient—had missed the first two league games and makes the group for this one after playing 90 minutes for the reserve side against Espaly on Saturday (0-0).

In Friday’s press conference, Genesio outlined the reason for Meïté’s early-season absence: «Bamo a eu un problème en début de saison qui l'a empêché de faire la préparation et de s'entraîner avec nous. Il est revenu en forme, en tout cas physiquement en pleine forme» (as quoted by L’Équipe).

Paixao makes the squad

Igor Paixao is another headline inclusion. Despite being missing against Monaco due to a thigh injury, he is present in the squad after recovering enough to be considered available (L’Équipe). With these updates, OM will look to settle their lineup quickly as they host Paris FC on Sunday.
