OM-PSG: the likely Marseille XI for the Ligue 1 Klassiker

OM host PSG for the Ligue 1 Klassiker this Sunday at the Vélodrome (20:45) after four straight defeats across all competitions. According to RMC Sport, Bruno Genesio is not expected to make major surprises and the starting XI against PSG should look very similar to what’s already on the table.

Keyliane Abdallah is the name gaining momentum. RMC Sport links his chances to a strong European outing in Istanbul, where he scored and looked able to cause danger on the right flank. The staff were impressed by that performance in a tough atmosphere, giving him a real shot at a starting role.

On the other hand, Angel Gomes has struggled to find the same rhythm this season, with only the opening game versus Strasbourg standing out. Another possible lever is Amine Harit: when Genesio replaced Gomes during matches, Harit was moved into a No. 10 position. RMC Sport says it’s possible the plan is used from the start, even if the call wasn’t fully confirmed on Saturday night.

Returning options and confirmed absences

Genesio also has options returning: Aguerd, Paixao and Gouiri were rested on Thursday and are expected back. As for who’s missing, Nnadi and Kondogbia are the only players ruled out for OM-PSG, matching what the coach said in his press conference.

The Vélodrome won’t be sold out, but it should still host around 60,000 to 62,000 fans. The most likely XI, per RMC Sport, is: De Lange - Weah, Egan-Riley, Aguerd, Emerson - Abdelli, Hojbjerg - Abdallah (or Gomes), Harit, Paixao - Gouiri.
