PSG return from Marseille with an ultras welcome at Roissy

PSG came back from Marseille in the middle of the night after beating their rivals 1-2 in Ligue 1’s Classique—and the reception was a proper celebration. As RMC Sport reports, several hundred supporters headed to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport to greet the team on arrival, with the landing scheduled for 2:30.

Night-time chants and flares

Once the players stepped off the plane, they were met with a torch-lit “honour corridor” made possible by lots of flares, alongside chants. Marquinhos and his teammates went through the fan group smiling, clapping with supporters as they took in the atmosphere before moving on.

Within that upbeat mood, Ferran Torres stood out for his impact on the pitch. The winger arrived this summer from FC Barcelona and again made the difference: he scored just seven minutes after coming on, at the 66th minute. As RMC Sport notes, he already has seven goals in six matches for PSG, with four of them in Ligue 1.
