Marseille lost 2-1 to PSG at home, and will hit the international break after a fifth consecutive setback, in the relegation zone.
PSG took the derby at the Vélodrome (2-1) and left Marseille in a worse position. As L'Équipe reports, the French side arrived as second from bottom in Ligue 1 and registered its fifth consecutive loss across all competitions.

The match swung for Marseille when they were reduced to ten in the closing stages, making it harder to resist the visitors’ control. Still, the home team managed to pull one back, reaching 2-1, but it wasn’t enough to turn the game around.
With the result, the OM side will spend the international break in a relegation position, adding pressure to the next round of league fixtures.
A must-win turnaround
The numbers underline the urgency: five straight defeats mean the club needs a quick reset before Ligue 1 resumes, especially given how close they are to the bottom.
