Real Sociedad carried out physical tests at Zubieta on 29 September after returning to training the day before, to gauge how the players came back from their seven-day break and to face a tough run of fixtures. The report also notes that the morning heat made the sessions harder.
Prior to the packed stretch
In the next 16 days, the club has five matches, and the squad will train again tomorrow under Pellegrino Matarazzo. It will be the start of a plan built around two training sessions.
The week’s key date is the Euskal Txapela final: this Friday at Anoeta (19:00) against Athletic Club. It will be the first derby of the season, although it comes with a number of absences that leave the matchup somewhat weakened on both sides, especially for the txuriurdin.
