Roberto Mancini, Italy’s head coach, will rotate for Monday’s clash with Turkey (Nations League) after the 0-2 defeat on their Roma return, with 10 players staying back in Italy.
Nicolò Barella, Gianluca Mancini, Diego Coppola, Daniel Maldini, Honest Ahanor, Samuele Inacio, Eddy Kouadio, Massimo Pessina, Samuele Ricci and Mohamed Alí Zoma will not travel to Bursa and will continue training at Coverciano, the FIGC facility in Florence. Nicolò Zaniolo also misses Turkey due to physical issues and returns home.
Changes for Bursa
Mancini is set to shuffle the lineup from the XI that lost to Belgium. Michael Kayode could play right back instead of Giovanni Di Lorenzo, while Alessandro Bastoni returns after serving a ban. Giorgio Scalvini is expected alongside Bastoni, with Riccardo Calafiori and Matteo Ruggeri competing for the left-back spot. In midfield, Davide Frattesi is a candidate to start, Rolando Mandragora could also enter, and Sandro Tonali may rest after playing the full 90 minutes against Belgium. Up front, Giacomo Raspadori is one option to support Moise Kean and Francesco Pio Esposito as Italy chase their first points vs Turkey.
