Ryotaro Ito, close to signing on a free with Real Valladolid
The Japan forward, out of contract after Sint-Truiden, has been undergoing medical checks in Valladolid to finalize the move.
Real Valladolid are close to signing Japan forward Ryotaro Ito as a free agent after he completed several medical tests in Valladolid, according to MARCA. Even though the summer transfer window closed nearly a month ago, the club in Valladolid is still working to strengthen its squad.
Ito is 28 and last season he scored 10 goals and provided four assists for Sint-Truiden. After not being renewed, he became a free agent, and during the summer he attracted interest including from Celta and Blackburn Rovers. In Blackburn’s case, they backed out following a medical check due to a reported ankle problem.
Now, Valladolid have put him through detailed physical and medical assessments over the last few days and appear ready to sign him.
