Toulouse loaded with eight signings, but without Yann Gboho vs Lille

Toulouse meet Lille this Thursday with a squad that includes their latest arrivals. As reported by L'Équipe, manager Jens Berthel Askou can count on the full set of new signings after the summer window shut.

Eight new faces

Kick-off is Thursday at 20:45, and the paper highlights that the three most recent recruits—Casper Tengstedt, Niko Sigur and Mathis Amougou—will be available. They all joined between August 31 and September 1, and are included in the group for the visit of the French side.

The same source adds that the earlier additions—Thomas Jorgensen, Sion Oppong, Christ Tapé, David Odogu and Ismaïl Diallo—also make the squad, having already featured in Toulouse’s first two Ligue 1 matches.

Two more absences

However, Toulouse will also have to cope without Yann Gboho, despite his two starts so far. L'Équipe notes that he was in the starting XI in the opening games: the loss to Lyon (0-2) and the draw with Brest (2-2).

On top of Gboho’s absence, the coach still won’t have Abu Francis and Aron Dönnum for the Lille game, the outlet adds.
