Van Dijk hopeful Jacquet will return this week
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk believes Jérémy Jacquet, sidelined with a shoulder injury for months, could be back in action within days.
Virgil van Dijk provided an update on Jérémy Jacquet's recovery following Liverpool's friendly defeat to Monaco (3-2) on Sunday. The Reds' defender is optimistic that the Spanish international, signed from Rennes for €70 million, will be able to return to the pitch this week after spending several months out with a shoulder injury.
According to L'Équipe, van Dijk expressed his hope for Jacquet's imminent comeback, which would be a significant boost for the team as the season progresses.
