Virgil van Dijk’s 2027 contract ends: Real Madrid linked as option
Van Dijk is out of contract in summer 2027, with British press saying Liverpool hasn’t made a renewal offer
Virgil van Dijk, a Liverpool centre-back, finishes his deal in summer 2027 and, according to British media, the English club has not made him a contract-renewal offer. Some outlets even suggest that offer will not come.
With his future now open, names have started to appear as possible destinations: Real Madrid is one of them, though he wouldn’t be the only target. The Milan, Inter de Miami and Galatasaray are also mentioned.
The idea fits with what the Spanish club did this summer: they signed Ibrahima Konaté from Liverpool on a free transfer. Earlier, Mourinho wanted another centre-back, but no further business happened because Álvaro Asencio stayed at Real Madrid last summer.
