Yuri Berchiche and Gorka Guruzeta train again as Athletic recover options

Athletic are regaining options as Yuri Berchiche and Gorka Guruzeta returned to training with the rest of the group. Berchiche came off the clash at Alavés on September 19 with a knock to his groin after a late run and had to be replaced by Nico Serrano in the 86th minute. As Mundo Deportivo reports, Terzic said the problem left him injured, although no medical bulletin followed, pointing to minor discomfort.

Guruzeta trained normally too. He was unavailable last week and stayed at Lezama after a muscular injury that kept him out vs Elche. He did make the squad for the trip to Levante, but the match was postponed; it will be played on Wednesday, October 21 at 8:00 PM.

With both men back, Terzic has the squad fully fit except for long-term absentee Unai Egiluz. The coach has also put several academy players into training, with Mikel Santos expected to feature in Donostia since Unai Simón and Alex Padilla are with their national teams.
