Yussi Diarra suffers an injury: prolonged layoff for Córdoba
Córdoba confirm an injury to the hamstring-tendon area of the right leg of the midfielder on a Cádiz loan until season’s end.
Córdoba have confirmed this Tuesday the injury of Yussi Diarra: a problem in the right-leg hamstring area with tendon involvement that will mean a prolonged recovery period. The club’s medical update says the midfielder has already started his rehabilitation and will be monitored jointly by Córdoba and Cádiz medical staff.
On loan from Cádiz until the end of the season, Diarra had played every match at the start, starting all seven league games with 569 minutes and one goal—his team’s first of the campaign against Burgos. His last appearance was on Sunday at José Zorrilla, where he started for Córdoba in the 3-1 defeat to Real Valladolid and played a little over an hour.
Córdoba will miss him for the Tenerife game at El Arcángel on Monday, October 5 (20:30). The absence adds to a rough start: five defeats in the first seven matches, as Sport reports.
