Adrián Liso completes his move to Mallorca after a hectic summer

The Zaragoza winger joins the Balearic club on loan for one season with a purchase option obligatory if they reach La Liga.

After a long summer of uncertainty, Adrián Liso is officially a Mallorca player. The Real Zaragoza winger arrives on loan for one season, according to Sport, with the Balearic club paying half a million euros for the loan and a purchase option of over 3.5 million obligatory if the team is promoted to La Liga and voluntary if they stay in the Segunda División.

Liso passed his medical on Thursday and is available for Luis García ahead of Saturday's match against Valladolid, though the manager preferred not to discuss him at his press conference. The saga surrounding his exit from Zaragoza was particularly turbulent: the winger even participated in a training camp at Boltaña and friendlies against Andorra and Sanse while his future was being resolved.

The player had been loaned to Getafe last season, where he made 31 appearances (3 goals and 3 assists). Although he initially rejected playing in Segunda and preferred to remain in La Liga or move to Italy, Mallorca managed to convince him with a strong commitment. Sevilla, Levante and Rayo Vallecano also showed interest, while in Italy, Venezia, Genoa and Torino were keen.

If Mallorca executes the purchase option, Zaragoza will retain a percentage of between 20 and 30% of the player's rights and the total operation will exceed 4 million euros.
