Agirrezabala seals move to Racing

Julen Agirrezabala is now officially a Racing Santander player. Both clubs have announced the agreement this evening, according to Mundo Deportivo. The goalkeeper signs a five-year contract running until 30 June 2031.

Athletic receives a fixed fee for the transfer along with performance-based variables, a percentage of future sales, and a right of first refusal. Agirrezabala, 25, joined the Bilbao academy from Antiguoko and leaves after 65 official appearances. The Gipuzkoan goalkeeper was the starter in the Copa final that Athletic won on penalties against Mallorca, saving one of the spot-kicks.

The Rojiblanco club thanked the player for his commitment during his time at Lezama. Agirrezabala has just returned from a loan spell at Valencia last season.
