Aguerd close to returning to Real Sociedad on loan

Nayef Aguerd looks set to return to Real Sociedad imminently. According to MARCA via 'Foot Mercato', Olympique Marseille and the Basque club are putting the finishing touches on a deal to bring the Moroccan defender back on loan, with a purchase option included in the agreement.

The left-footed centre-back already knows the house well: he played at Real during the 2024-25 season, a campaign in which he delivered solid performances. However, injuries have been a constant setback in his career — he is currently recovering from a pubic injury that has kept him sidelined.

At 30 years old, Aguerd has reportedly turned down other offers to return to San Sebastián, where he seems keen to play. The operation is in its final stages and could be completed shortly.
