Araujo arrives at Liverpool and will be announced today

Ronald Araujo has arrived at Liverpool. The 27-year-old Uruguayan international defender landed in the English city yesterday in a private flight from Barcelona, accompanied by his family and agents.

Upon arrival, the centre-back headed straight to the club's facilities to undergo his medical and complete his first photo shoots and content sessions as a new Liverpool player. With all major formalities completed, the official announcement is expected today, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The deal was finalized just before midnight on Friday with a loan agreement that includes a purchase option for the reds valued at €55 million. Araujo accepted the fresh start after a conversation with Hansi Flick, in which Barcelona's manager convinced him he needed "something new". The German coach praised the Uruguayan as "a great person and a great player".
