Arsenal lose 3-1 to Real Betis in pre-season friendly

Arsenal had a frustrating afternoon in their pre-season friendly against Real Betis in Dublin, going down 3-1 at the Aviva Stadium, according to Sky Sports.

The Gunners found themselves behind when Kepa Arrizabalaga failed to claim a corner, allowing Rodrigo Riquelme to score at the back post. Nelson Deossa doubled the lead with a stunning long-range strike.

Piero Hincapie pulled one back with a header from a corner delivered by new signing Christos Tzolis, but Pablo Fornals restored Betis' two-goal cushion following a misplaced pass from Kai Havertz. Manager Mikel Arteta made second-half changes in an attempt to turn the tide.
