Arteta: Arsenal still want more signings in the market

Mikel Arteta says Arsenal are actively hunting for reinforcements despite admitting the pool of elite available players is very small.

Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Arsenal remain active in the market hunting for fresh additions. According to Sky Sports, the manager stated that «there is more that we want to do because every time we have an opportunity to improve the squad and bring more quality and depth, we need to do that».

The Gunners have already completed the £75m signing of Bruno Guimaraes, who made his debut on Wednesday in the friendly against Como. However, Arteta acknowledged the market's challenges: the club failed to land Vinicius Junior, who renewed at Real Madrid, and also missed out on Morgan Rogers, who joined Chelsea.

Arteta was candid about the hurdles: «We are actively trying to do so, but the market doesn't just depend on you. We are very clear on that. The approach, the will and the desire of the club, that's unquestionable». He admitted that while Arsenal want to keep strengthening, the supply of top-tier talent is severely limited.
